A small apartment can still look big if it has plenty of windows. Be sure that you regularly clean your window panes and refrain from using curtains. The more light that comes in, the more space it adds to your living quarters.

If you have a large collection of CDs, you might want to sell them or at least place them in a rented storage area out of your place. Instead, download all your favorite tunes online and play them from your computer or iPod stereo. This will allow you to prevent the clutter of extra speakers and CD players.
